Terms of Use
By using Anchor you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Anchor is not medical care
Anchor is a self-help wellness tool. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and it is not a medical device, a medical service, or a substitute for professional medical or mental health care.
Anchor cannot tell the difference between a panic attack and a medical emergency. Panic symptoms and serious medical events can feel identical. If you have chest pain for the first time, or symptoms that are new or different from your usual pattern, seek medical help immediately.
Anchor is not an emergency service and cannot contact anyone on your behalf. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
What Anchor does
Anchor plays a fixed, pre-recorded guided audio session intended to support you during moments of acute anxiety. It uses widely practised self-help techniques — paced exhalation, plain-language information about the body's adrenaline response, muscle tension release, and sensory grounding. These are presented as general self-help practice. Anchor makes no claim that they will work for you, and no claim of clinical efficacy.
Who it's for
Anchor is intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 13.
Your responsibility
You use Anchor at your own discretion. Do not use it while driving, operating machinery, or in any situation where closing your eyes or diverting your attention could be dangerous. If any part of the session makes you feel worse, stop.
No data, no account
Anchor collects no personal data and requires no account. See the Privacy Policy.
Third-party links
The help screen links to external resources such as Find a Helpline. Those services are operated independently and are governed by their own terms and policies. Anchor does not control them and is not responsible for their content or availability.
Intellectual property
The app, its script, voice recordings and artwork are owned by the developer and may not be copied, redistributed or reused without permission.
No warranty
Anchor is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. There is no guarantee that the app will be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or effective.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, Anchor — including any decision you make or delay in seeking care. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes
These terms may be updated. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
