Privacy Policy
Anchor does not collect, store or share any personal data about you. There is no account, no sign-up, no analytics and no advertising. The only exception is the standard hosting logs described below, which apply to the web version and which we never look at.
What we collect
Nothing. Anchor has no user accounts, no login, no email capture, no analytics or crash-reporting SDK, and no advertising. We do not know who you are, whether you have opened it, or how often you use it.
What stays on your device
The guided session — its words and its voice recordings — is bundled inside the app itself. It plays entirely offline from your phone's own storage. Nothing about your session is recorded, and nothing is sent anywhere.
Internet access
The Android app does not require an internet connection to work, and does not send data to us or to any third party while you use it.
The web version
Anchor is also available as a web page. The session itself behaves identically — nothing you do is recorded, and no analytics or advertising code runs. However, like every website, it is served by a hosting provider (Netlify), whose servers automatically keep standard technical access logs. These typically include your IP address, browser type and the time of the request. We do not use these logs, do not link them to any individual, and cannot identify you from them. They are handled under the hosting provider's own privacy policy.
The help screen links to Find a Helpline, an independent service with its own privacy policy. Visiting it is entirely your choice, and we are not told whether you do.
Children
Anchor is not directed at children under 13. Because we collect no data at all, we do not knowingly collect information from anyone of any age.
Permissions
Anchor requests no sensitive Android permissions. It does not access your microphone, camera, contacts, location, health data, files, or messages.
Your rights
Data-protection laws — including Singapore's PDPA and the GDPR — give you rights to access, correct, and delete personal data held about you. Because we hold none, there is nothing for us to disclose or erase. Deleting the app removes it completely.
Changes
If this policy ever changes — for example if a future version adds an optional account — this page will be updated and the date above revised. Any feature that collected data would be opt-in and explained before you used it.
Important — this is not medical care
Anchor is a self-help wellness tool. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition, and it is not a substitute for professional medical or mental health care.
Anchor cannot tell the difference between a panic attack and a medical emergency. If you have chest pain for the first time, or symptoms that are new or different for you, seek medical help. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line in your country.
